City of Glass Excerpt

From Cassandra Clare. Cookies are mean! I need to know, I need to know!

The moment the door shut behind Clary, Jace slumped back against the
wall, as if his legs had been cut out from under him. He looked gray
with a mixture of horror, shock, and what looked almost like . . .
relief, as if a catastrophe had been narrowly avoided.
“Jace,” Alec said, taking a step toward his friend. “Do you really
think —”
Jace spoke in a low voice, cutting Alec off. “Get out,” he said. “Just
get out, both of you.”
“So you can do what?” Isabelle demanded. “Wreck your life some more?
What the hell was that about, Jace?”
Jace shook his head. “I sent her home. It was the best thing for her.”
“You did a hell of a lot more than send her home. You destroyed her.
Did you see her face?”
“It was worth it,” said Jace. “You wouldn’t understand.”
“For her, maybe,” Isabelle said. “I hope it winds up worth it for
you.”
Jace turned his face away. “Just . . . Leave me alone, Isabelle.
Please.”
Isabelle cast a startled look toward her brother. Jace never said
please. Alec put a quieting hand on her shoulder. “Never mind, Jace,”
he said, as kindly as he could. “I’m sure she’ll be fine.”
Jace raised his head and looked at Alec without actually looking at
him — he seemed to be staring off at nothing. “No, she won’t,” he
said. “But I knew that. Speaking of which, you might as well tell me
what you came in here to tell me. You seemed to think it was pretty
important at the time.”
Alec took his hand off Isabelle’s shoulder. “I didn’t want to tell you
in front of Clary —”
Jace’s head snapped back and his eyes focused on Alec. “Didn’t want to
tell me what in front of Clary?”
Alec hesitated. It was clear that Jace was pushed to the limit right
now, and he could only imagine what effect further unpleasant
surprises might have on him. But there was no way to hide this. Jace
had to know.

I wish I was away in Ingo...

I wish I was away in Ingo
far across the briny sea
sailing over deepest waters
where love nor care ne'er trouble me...

I loved The Crossing of Ingo! My favourite of the series with it's infinite glory and its finality! And I love, love, love Faro!!! Ingo is number four in my top favourite book series. Harry Potter (obviously as it is a part of my very soul), Twilight (Edward, duh?), The Mortal Instruments (Jace, lots of angst), and Ingo! There are a few more after that, but I'm stopping at Ingo. It was such a great story you guys, so great! Helen Dunmore is an exceptionally good writer, she takes me with her in her stories and has some of the most heart felt lines I've ever read and these are books for early teens! I LOVE INGO!

Here's the link to the trailer for Ingo.

So, switching from one series to another... City of Glass is coming out in March, and Cassandra Clare has decided to torment us with a small tidbit of the front cover. And yes, it is Sebastian.

So far, it's looking good. But there's no shirtlessness this time! I guess it's only a Jace thing.

I'm Alive Too!

It seems like everybody is forgetting bout the blog...Sara, I thought Marylin Manson's straw was fuscia, not pink. And don't say whatever, its a very important factor.

Your right, I'm spending the next four years, away from most of my friends in a more free lifestyle. I'm taking the bus every day, I will have study hall, and I will have a class that lasts the whole after noon. Every second tuesday is a staff meeting, aka sleep in late! I will not be in a single 'class' but i will have different classes with different people. It is going to be soo different!! I am exited, but this the first year where most of my friends aren't going to be in the same school, let alone the same class!

I am very happy that today is my cat's b-day, he is finally one. I think he knew it was his birthday, because every couple minutes, he asked for food. He is having a party with his two kitty friends on sunday.

I Am Indeed Alive

I'm alive! But I dont know about anyone else. I think there brains were all sucked out threw Marilyn Mansons pink bendy straw. But thats just my theory.

And I agree with Alicia here, it does seem... real. I thought I would never get to grade 8, let alone high school. It all hit me today when I actually visited the place I was going to go for the next four years. FOURS YEARS I SAY!

Anyways. I'm going to Chapters now to hopefully get the book I'm looking for. TOOTLES!

Are You All Dead?

Zee title is self-explanitory! HAS EVERYONE DIED! I mean, really people, the last blog was the 25th! I know that doesn't seem like long ago, but for the blog, indeed it is! I understand that you've all been busy writing and what-not but really people! What are we going to do in highschool if no one blogs huh? SO BLOG! NOW! AT THIS VERY SECOND! SHEESH!

In other news...

Is it just me, or is this whole highschool expeirience becoming so much more...real? Going to Yourk Memo was like having an epiphany! I was like, holly crap, I'm spending the next four years here! In a few short months we're going to be in highschool! WHOA! Am I late? Probably, since I usually am. Good thing there's a lot of cute guys at York :P.
