The End

We're all aware that the blog has come to an end. It's been over a year of posting, and life has become too busy. We're all moving on.

I figured that we should officially close it, and this is the best time. Since I'm moving and Jeanette's already away, we don't all live in 'A Random Place Called Weston' anymore. I promise I'll leave the blog up in case you feel like visiting the past for a while. It's been really fun!

The End

I'm Back!!!!

Hi!
Ok so I'm sure everyone is mad at me since I think the last time I posted was the end of January and I am currently yelling at myself because that is just sad! Alright so a ton has happend here I go, BTW this is being written in business because I need a break from playing the impossible quiz as is our normal pass time in this class:

Alright so last time I posted I believe I was going to my regional swim meet, and I was suppossed to see most of you there *glare*, NO ONE WAS THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously was everyone sick or injured???? I know Cody was really sick, but really, the only person I saw there was Blair and I was like the only one of my school friends swimming too cus Christine broke her arm. However she wrote like all over my back with a permanet marker, and it was fun =). You all had better be there next year...

Next subject... My dance concert was amazing!! and just when you thought that it was over... I have another 2 SHOWS and they are all on top of my summatives and i swear I am going to explode!!!!

So I have been doing the Reproduction unit in Science and let me tell you it is so embaressing and the fact that my grade 8 teacher is a LIAR does not help!!! and in math we think that my teacher deserves a raise just for teaching our class because we never shut up and we have the most annoying people in the entire grade 9 in our class: David/ Run Ze, (yes that is what we call him) and Julian. =( Oh well... We finished our play! It was pretty cool we had the entire aud dancing the Time Warp with us!!!! and under the stage we ate 3 bags of cookies in 2 hours between 6 of us, needless to say I went home a little sugar hyper.

So at this point I cannot think of anything else to say... oh wait, if you want to see some pics of my Festival dance concert you can look on my MSN network thing... if you don't have my email then ask Cody or Katie they both have it... I have to go now before my really annoying dumb business teacher comes to see what I am doing... ;)

Ta Ta for now
-Jeanie (my new nickname at school... it's better than Nettie... or Jeanettiquette)
PS
I still have not read city of ashes or city of Glass because I cant seem to get it out of the stupid library so please warn me if you are going to talk about it... I don't want to spoil it.

This is lame...

I don't know if you guys care that I'm the only one who's been blogging since FOREVER, but regardless I feel that you must be updated on City of Glass if you've read it yet.

Here's the best interview so far with tons of SPOILERS but it's really honest and interesting.

BTW, I'm glaring at you all right now.

SPOILER Warning

Don't read this awesome interview until you've read City of Glass.

And btw, READ CITY OF GLASS!

Come On Guys...

http://pplibraryreviews.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/deathnote-rules.jpg

Don't stop blogging completely. I know we're all busy, but if you look back a few months it's sort of amazing to see all that we've done!

So... I'm a little sad. I watched every episode of Death Note on Friday and yesterday. ALL of them. It was awesome, and painful, and intelligent... but I miss L! He's so weird, what with his funny crouching and love of all foods. He's so unique! But, I miss him...

Light's over here......................................L's upside down!

Sigh. If only L could convert Kira.

And here is the first part of episode one in English. I would sincerely suggest watching the series on Youtube, because it's awesome and there's only 37 episodes. Don't stop after episode 1, because it gets way better once you actually see L.

I should probably write today. And do my homework. Oops... my science culminating assignment part C is due tomorrow! Guess what I'm working on this afternoon...

BLOG.
COME UP WITH A NICKNAME FOR ME.

If you haven't heard it, you really need to checkkkkkkk it.

Alright, so basically my march break has consisted of avioding my saxophone and just hanging with my friends, and sleeping untill noon everyday :]
Emma, I would just like to notify you that i do own MAX, i just haven't finished the book i'm currently reading so that I can read it.

I don't know about any of you, but today i bought my own personal copy of Twilight on DVD. My mom never got the chance to see it so i watched it with her, she laughed when Jacob walked in with his long hair. She also shares my opinion on Robert Pattinson being really good , but finding Bella to be a downer. I remember some of you guys not liking Bella's Lullaby, but I actually really like it, enough that i'm taking it up on piano, its quite hard but i'm getting it.

Anywhoss, I tried sushi for the first time since i was like 7, and enjoyed it . I also went to see He's Just Not That Into You with Sophie and her sister, it was gooood.
Whoaaa i can't think of much else to blog on, hope you guys had a crazyyyyyy goood spring break!

In Response To Cody...

1. Yes, Sparknotes has saved my life various times. Only, it can't make me like Twelfth Night. I don't read Shakespeare under pressure. For example, while I was reading Hamlet out of my own personal interest, it was a lovely help to understand. Twelfth Night is a comedy that isn't even funny.

2. Yeah, you can borrow my copy of MAX. Don't bother reading the 4th, anything that you missed is easy to pick up on- and you didn't miss much in the first place. Oh, here's an interview about the book with James Patterson.

Find more videos like this on The James Patterson Community

3. I would love to share with you and Tasmeea the date you can buy my book, but until I hear a response from the editors, I have no idea if there will even be a date. And btw, you would end up with an ARC no matter what.

That's it for now. I shall leave you with a quote from Platinum.

"I'm a dreamer
hisomu POWER."

I don't remember what it means, but the song is awesome and from a great show.

Owie :(

Well everyone, I hope your March Breaks are going well.
So far, mine has consisted of homework, which isn't really that fun if you ask me. I finished all my Shakespeare homework (thanks to Sparksnotes, and Emma who recommended it), and am now trying to wire my house. I electrocuted myself. It wasn't fun. It hurts a lot. Don't do it. All I was trying to do was mkae a simple circuit, and next thing I new my hand was in pain and the wires were bright red, so there's a possibility I almost set my house on fire aswell. In the end, I triumphed and made a series circuit that met the specifications.

Tomorrow should be better because I'm going to Yorkville with my Nana. We don't actually think we're going to buy anything because it's very expensive, but you know window shopping could be fun. :)

Thursday I have two parties to attend, one of which is in the afternoon, the other lasts allll night longgg! That's right people, I'm going to get my party on!

Emma, I haven't read the Max book because well, I never read the fourth one. I'm thinking of just skipping it. Is there any way I could borrow it off you? While I'm talking about books, my friend Tasmeea read my wonderful (note the sarcasm) summary of Emma's book, and now reallly wants to read it. So for my sake, and Tasmeea's, let me know when I can buy it!

NEAL PATRICK-HARRIS! That's right everybody, I finally saw Harold and Kumar 2, and omg! Neal Patrick-Harris is my hero! Just the unicorn thing, I don't think i'll ever stop laughing. Also, as you may know, I am Neal Patrick Harris because of a random hyper incident provoked at my cottage, in which Thea decided I was his reincarnation.

Well there you have it folks. My life in a nut-shell right now. (hehehehe nuts)

Cody

AHhh...

Fang and Max, Max and Fang.
Faxness.

You have read the book by now, right? It came out yesterday, so if you haven't, I truly don't understand.
MAX was way better than the fourth, but still not as good as the first three in my opinion.

Who remembers Cardcaptors? I do! And I love it even more now that I've found the original full-length uncensored version of the show on Youtube, plus its two movies.
Shoaran and Meilin Li are the BEST.
Kero's pretty awesome too.

So, who's going to blog about their March Break? That's pretty much all that mine has consisted of so far.
And a colossal stomach ache. And some pyjamas.

Fill me in!

My IQ Is WHAT?!

Okay..so I have this contest with my boyfriend..to see who can get the highest score on an IQ test. We would search for random ones and do them to see who would get higher.
He's beaten me twice.
I think I just won XD
So here's how it went...We took one the first time..I had an IQ of 106 with the average being about 100, right? He scored 111. Damn! So we tried again, with a different one. He stole 3 IQ point from my brain I think. Explaining Ionic  Bonding to him was a badd idea :p I ended up with 103 and he ended up with 114.
I just took the test a moment ago.
Guess what?
129 !
OH YEAH! WHO WINS ?! :D
Shauna does
*Dances*
Too bad he's not around for me to tell him.

Anyways...enough of my brain.
Tomorrow I'm going to Tim Ho's to meet a friend.
She's always hyper.
Is coffee really the greatest idea?
I seem to think so.

*Yawnnn*
Why am I so tired ?
It's only 10..I should be out partying not here sleeping.
Sleep....sleepp...
I need to go sleep.
I'll blog again tomorrow maybe.
Nightt !

:O

CODY.
Most of us read Wicked Lovely a VERY long time ago.
It's fabulous, and Catholicism isn't the point.
Its SETH.

And if Wondrous Strange is a hardcover now, that means it's incredibly successful, because less than a month ago, it only premiered in paperback. That's a very good sign.
And remember, its going to be a TV series next season, so just keep looking for it and READ IT.

Obama Song :)

Haii everyone :)

So I am blogging because:
1) I haven't for a while.
And 2) Emma is a very persistent person.

So as many of you may know, I had my semi formal, which was very fun! Shauna knows, oh Shauna knows :p

I was an epic fail on my math midterm, sad I know :(
64%, I think that's the lowest mark I've ever gotten.
Although!! My GPA was a 90, which is awesomeness in a box :)

Emma, i went to buy that book you recommended, the one that aws like a modern Mid-Summer's Night Dream, but couldn't because my dad was being cheap and owuldn't buy it in hardcover.
So I shall buy it when everything is paperback :)
However, I bought a book called Wicked Lovely. have you read it because it is AMAZING! It stars a catholic girl who can see fairys, and a HOT EMO boy :) We all know how I enjoy the emo boysssss!!! I lurk themn all the time on facebookyy!!

Alicia and Sara, it as very funny watching your facebook video because Alicia was lurking in a corner, which made me laugh XD
We all should go see a movie sometime :)

Guess what ?!

I'm bacckk :)
Okay, sorry about that huge absence. As you know, I'm in I.B. and omgg what work !
We're doing slope and factoring and stuff that's well..kind complicated. Shakespeare in english, we have to build a house for science, complicated french tests.
I like it though.
It's all good.
I didn't expect to make it to the Tamakwa trip back in September, yet here I am. Still dying from work overload.
Anywayss..my summer was great. Lots of traveling to near-by places..if that even COUNTS as traveling !
Woww I'm tired.
I got up at 5:30 this morning to do my math and gym homework which I didn't do the night before coz I had science homework that took all night, and my doggy was here :)
Sukii ! What a cutie ! :) It's my Nan's friend's dog. They just got back from Florida.
Anyone ever had florida oranges ? They're to die for ! Soo much better than the stuff that you get in grocery stores !
Hm...what to talk about..
Today after school I took the bus down to my friend's house.
She lives on Scarlet Road so we went to this park thing...walked along this little river thing. Anyways, we come to a bridge and went to hang out underneath it.
Of course she wasn't wearing her glasses and couldn't see anything so we're walking along and I'm not really paying attention and we almost walk RIGHT into this stupid Canadian Goose that's just sitting there, like, drowning itself.
Her and I left it to it's misery and continued walking, found a path and walked along that.
I was looking around in the woods when I saw this HUGE purple thing so we went to investigate it. Turned out to be this big kiddy pool thing. It was awesome. Her and I decided to keep walking along and I come around a tree..only to come face to face with A DEAD BEAVER !
It's eyes were gone, it was ripped open, no blood, but I could see the skeleton of it...still had fur. I saw like the dried up stomach and I was poking it with a stick when I realized it had no tail...
yeeahh...:|
It was kinda funny though coz I just couldn't stop freaking out about how gross it really was. Another thing that's started up since I last blogged is Queensblood ! ...sort of.
Emma and I's band.
We really do need to practice sometime.
I've also been to quite a few theatre productions. Okay, so like, two but still. that's double every thing I've ever seen in my life :p
Last month I went and saw The Sound Of Music. Meh. It was okay. Wouldn't really pay that much to go see it again though.
And this passed Wednesday I went with the band to go see Dirty Dancing.
Anyone ever seen that firl from Like With Derek ? Casey what's-her-face?
She played the lead girl, Baby. :)
She's an okay dancer but she didn't sing. She was supposed to SING !
Okay, well this seems enough writing for now.
I'm tired. Going to bed so I can get up bright and early tomorrow to..work all day on homework XD
I'll write again soon ! :)
.xo Shaunaa <3
P.S. OMG it's like 14*C outside ! I lovee it !

Countdown...

9 days until MAX!

17 days until City of Glass!

Plus, an interview before the release by Cassandra Clare. Remember that she'll be here on April 25th!

Don't Let The Blog Die!

Come on guys, the blog has existed for over a year now. We can't give up on it!

Okay, I'm sick. So I was rereading Ingo today.
Of course, that age-old question of "How do the Mer have sex?" Came up.
I have decided to clear this up for you all, as strange as it sounds. We need answers.

As you know, the Mer have seal tails. This is the area in which their parts are, leading me to believe that since Faro doesn't wear clothes, Sapphire has seen these parts many, many times. Remember how she stares at his tail when she first meets him, and he's laughing because she gets embarrassed at staring? It may blend into the tail, but these facts exist.
So, assuming that female parts are the same as seals too- and therefore better hidden- Mer sex must be similar to seal sex. It's sort of like dogs, except you consider the shape of their bodies and the idea that sometimes the male contorts until he lays down beside her.
Also- this action happens on land. So if Mer that have no Air in them - unlike Faro and Elvira- cannot leave Ingo, it may happen on different surfaces underwater too, such as a bed-type thing like Saldowr has.

Now, let's take into consideration the new relationship between Faro and Sapphy.
While in the books they never even kiss, they do determine that they will next time she returns to Ingo, and after peace has settled. So, Faro being Mer, and Sapphy being human would change the way sex works for them.
Consider this - Faro has the classic seal tale, and Sapphy is the same shape as us, but because the male in the relationship is the Mer and the female is the human, it would simply be a matter of their own personal preferences - seal and human style would work. (Creepy as that sounds.)
If the human had been the male and the Mer the female it's harder to guess, but I assume it's a mix between the two because of their body shapes. Unless someone else has an idea, we may have to refer to Helen Dunmore for an official answer.

As a conclusion; Faro and Sapphy's sex life will be just fine once they decided who's moving to the other's world.

Also- who's dying for MAX? I read the excerpt (which you need to read by the way) and I can't wait until the 16th! It's during break too so we can just read, read, read!

And then...

CITY OF GLASS!

I'm dying I tell you! Dying!
(And not just because I'm sick.)

NEIL GAIMAN!

EEEEEEEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAA
When you meet Neil Gaiman you have to tell him that your partially crazy friend Cody's favourite book is Neverwhere, and that she love American Gods tooooooo!!! They are some of my all time faves and I'm rereading Good Omens at the moment. Mention that the world ending shortly after tea line is fucking brilliant!! :D

Coraline and Neil Gaiman!

AHHHHH!!!!!!

That's how I felt on the inside when I saw Neil Gaiman yesterday.
Mary- my awesome friend and connection to all of Harpercollins- invited me to go with her to the pre-screening of Coraline. I loved the book because it's so creepy, and the movie definitely lives up to it! The whole experience was amazing, and the movie comes out on Friday in theatres. It's the first stop motion animation movie made entirely in 3D. It took nine years to make it as amazing as it is now!

WATCH IT.

Before and after the film, Neil talked to us, made hilarious jokes with that sexy British voice of his, and answered questions. He's a really nice person- twisted, and I love him more for that- but he was really tired. Mary's going to try and find out when we can have breakfast with him!

I also got to see my friend Lesley Livingston again after we were interviewed about her new book Wondrous Strange for the show on Space called The Circuit. She hugged us, and told us that she'd just sent in revisions for the second book that day! I can't wait to find out what happens!

READ IT.

I'm about to work on editing Into The Night more so I can send it to Lesley's editor!

Samuel! He Did His Work Well! :'(

Poor, poor unfortunate Samuel. He was so young. Okay, not really, but he did his job well, can we not agree? I loved him so. How sad is it that his music playing days are over, along with his days of playing Solitaire. *Sigh* we shall all miss him. Do keep him alive as long as you can, dear sweet Livi.

But I will make it through. I'm sick today :( and I came home at lunch. My throat is killing me and I'm so sore. Grr. Everyone stay away from me ;P

Many of you are asking about Garrett. Okay, just Cody and Emma, but still. :P It basically started at this get-together he had, he was bugging me and Sara about how we had "changed" and we were preps. Anyway, if you want the entire story, send me an email, since this is public internet :P. Emma, I'll be sure to send you one soon, but after this I'll probably read or lie down, my head is throbbing. But anyway, after the get together he brought it up again on Facebook, and things got ugly. Basically, after all was said and done, I told him to talk to the wall because I was tired of hearing his crap. A while later he made fun of me again through his status, and I told him I hope he dies alone. Tah dah. If you want more detail on what HE said to ME (it's not appropriate for the blog, but it starts with a W, and he called Sara one too) and he said other bad things to us, then email me and I'll be happy to let you know.

On another note, things at York are good. The new friends are great, but they'll never replace you guys, for sure :P. Just so everyone knows, even though I haven't blogged in an eternity, I still read everything, so if you do blog, I know about it :P. I'll try to blog again soon.

Love you all tons!
Alicia xoxo<3

YAWWWN

Hiya everyone, back from hibernation.

:O Sara, you saw Mr. V? Thats weird cause i just had a horribly confusing dream where he was ther and he had long hair and it was pulled back into a ponytail and it looked weird... We have to go to C.R again to see everyone and get back my book in a box.

I'm currently at school, BTT class to be precise. I have to do swimming today and I don't want to. I don want my hair to get all wet and chloriney and greeeeennn! :((((( Sad... I want lunch to come.

Nothing has really happened, just bored. There's a supply teacher here... Hmmm. My life has been pretty boring... OH! Lisha, if you EVER come on here, your iPod, Samuel, is sadly fried. It won't plug into the computer, the best i can do is use my wall charger to keep it alive. Well, Goodbye Samuel.. We'll miss you!
Okeys, time to do my work... Then go to science Bleh... BYE!

I'm Back Baby

Hello all, I would just like to state i am alive. I thought this blog was dead but then i was happy to find about 5 new posts. But i guess i'm not very updated on this Nathan thing? Well it's not my business anyways.

So nothing super-duper exciting has happened in my life, today aswell as tomorrow we get to miss school because our band is on TOUR, we played at C.R and saw Mr.V, gosh it's been like five months since i've seen that dude, but he's still the same Mr.V-hizzle. Tomorrow we are going to Kane and Rockcliff middle school, i've never been/heard of either till this year but i can't lie today was a hell alot of fun so i hope tomorrow is the same.

Another thing, SEMI BABE! OuiOui, Sara Silvestri is attending Semi-Formal! Kassy's getting my ticket for me tomorrow and then i just got to get myself a new dress, any suggestions on what type of dress i should get ladies?

Well I best go pack for my weekend with the Barras family!(Because my family is off to Ottawa for some hockey fun that i personally don't enjoy :] )

Tootles!

Why?

Okay... we're stepping into treacherous territory here Cody. Katie, are you reading?

Why do I hate Nathan?

In fact, I do not hate the red-head who has chosen a path I would never tread. I simply dislike him, because he has on various occasions for honest to goodness no reason called me, and I quote, "Bitch," and "Bitch who's ignoring me," and "Bitchy". Pardon the language. I have done nothing but try to accept his relationship to our circle, but I have found that when he badly treats my friends, spreads lies to my friends, and remains ignorant and "bitchy" himself, I cannot overlook these facts.

Katie, I'm sorry that you have chosen to be angry at me about my standpoint, but I cannot tell you that I am the only one. Kheyla, and several of your close friends who I have overheard in particular of my classes (it's not my place to name them) feel that you are becoming distant and unlike yourself in his presence. Ultimately, the relationship you hold with said red-head who enjoys making fun of other red-heads and Catholic people (may I remind you that I am one, and so are, if not regularly, Alicia and Sara), is up to you. It has been made very clear to myself that you no longer hold me in the highest regards of friendship, and for that I am sorry. I wish you could once again take interest in more people than Nathan, and the amazing events that take place in your friends lives. Have you heard about my book success? I doubt it, for you may attend my school, but your cares and interests are far from my own.

I hope these statements have made clear to you the reasons for my dislike of Nathan. I have made an effort not to become mad in the process, and think solely about my editing as well as the current episode of Gilmore Girls that now plays in the background despite the sad fact that it takes place during the seventh and final season.

Emma

OMFG! JOE STRUMMER'S GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMFG! I can't believe you got to see it Emma! The Rock n' Roll hall of fame, and you got to see his guitar! OMG spazzsm!!!!!
Why do you hate Nathan?

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Yes, I was indeed in America, Cody. Cleveland to be exact.
What resides in Cleveland?
My brother's hockey tournament of course.
AND The Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame!!!
Guess who's guitar Cody?
JOE STRUMMER'S!!
I also enjoyed my IHOP pancakes immensely.

My first exam is tomorrow. It's Science. And by the way Coderee, you've got it easy. I also have a Math, English, Vocal, and Theory exams.

Also, I might be getting Advanced Tickets to see Coraline in theatres... and meet Neil Gaiman!

I'm very pleased that your boyfriend is a vegetarian.
I hate Katie's boyfriend.

"And Alicia I keep hearing that you and Garrett are fighting. Congrats, and what happened?"
Single best line EVER. Indeed Alicia, explain.

I SAY 'O'
YOU SAY 'BAMA'
'O'
'BAMA'
'O'
'BAMA'

For Taylor's sake, DO have a historical day?

-Emma

The Historical Obama day.

Hello Everyone!
I thought I'd blog so Emma didn't kill me! How's everyone doing? I saw many of you after school today, and you were all insane! Just joking my York Memo friends :p
I'm coming to the swim meet on Thursday, and will see you all again :p
So is anyone suffering through Mid-Terms right now? I know Katie and Emma are, but is anyone else? The only mid-terms I have are music and math thankfully. Apparently subjects that start with "M" enjoy making us write/ play through long tests. Unfortunately, the math teacher who is harder than the teacher I have is writing the test, thus meaning, I am going to do VERY badly :( :p

Emma, I have one question, are you in America? Because Shauna said something about IHOP's only being in the States, and I'm confused.

IB has yet to give me a break from homework, so sadly I am still swamped. Currently I am avoiding studying for math, preparing for a music presentation, and answer geography questions. Oh, and sketching out my English mythology essay :(

I have a boyfriend. Most of you know this, just thought I'd fill those who didn't know in.......

And Alicia I keep hearing that you and Garrett are fighting. Congrats, and what happened?
Actually I keep hearing that you're no longer friends.

And now for the title of this wonderful post. Today, a historical event was recorded, in the form of America's new president. that's right people, Obama was officially instated as President. NO MORE GEORGE BUSH!!!!! Obama-rama has started, and I am SO happy. America's first black president, the world is moving forwards. We had a longer lunch, like a full hour and half so people could watch his speech in the auditorium. I skipped that, because I knew how boring it would be, but I still appreciated the long lunch!!

That's all, and (Emma should like this one)
Have a historical day..

What Has Become of Us?

I weep with sorrow as a fervent melancholia sweeps over my delicate soul! What hath become of us? Have we, as upstanding citizens of our Westonian society, fallen from heights greater than us many have known? A near month! I tell you, this is blasphemy! To simply give way to folly, and give in to the seductive plea of business is merely a shirk upon our souls! We as rightful humans beings and inhabitants of this divine earth must restore our previous greatness!

Start BLOGGING again, you guys!

So... I'm in Cleveland, Ohio... it's even colder than it is in Toronto right now...
It SUCKS.

But that's okay. Even though I'm here for my brother's hockey tournament, I'm on my way to a career!

Last night I went to Lesley Livingston's- a new Harpercollins author- book launch! I read the Advanced Readers Copy of Wondrous Strange in November, and was one of the two teenagers out of ten people who'd even read the book! I now own a signed first edition that's with me right now. Lesley inscribed it specifically for me! I was also interviewed by my friend, a producer at Space Channel for a special on the world of teenage reading; focusing on the event and his daughter (my friend Mary) and I. It was really scary being on camera, and I was asked a lot of questions (TWICE!) but I think I did a pretty good job.

And... the best part? I now officially know two editors at Harpercollins. Catherine, the one I know best, introduced me to her friend last night who is Children's Editor (which includes Young Adult) for Harpercollins. I did a quick pitch of my book... and I've been asked to send it to her!

AH!! I'm so excited, you have NO idea. It felt so natural being with all of those book people, actresses etc. and being interviewed about what I love: BOOKS. MY books!

I love love love love the world of books...
But Ohio? Not so much.

So start blogging again people!
