Harry Potter Teaser Trailer!

Watch the new teaser trailer that accompanies The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

Now that you've seen that, watch this insanely funny reaction video by Matt Britton on the left and Andrew Sims on the right. Both are hosts on Mugglecast and trust me they do not actually act like this. It's an homage to all of the real reaction videos out there, but it's still VERY funny. And though you may doubt it from this video, they are both very straight, not gay at all even though they're acting like that. And Matt's really cute.

Ah, the joys of Mugglecast. Can you wait until November? Half-Blood Prince!

And also, does anyone want to come over to my house for a movie day this Sunday? I can probably have three or four friends over, so tell me if you guys want to get together and watch non-stop movie madness. Popcorn will be provided.

Tomorrow our lives will change.

The moment we read the last word of Stephenie Meyer's final Twilight book Breaking Dawn, our lives will be different you guys. Just as Harry Potter changed my life, so will this, though I have to say nothing will ever impact me the way Harry has. But really, all we know about Breaking Dawn is the little bit the prologue gives, that there's a wedding, and that Stephenie Meyer is totally satisfied with the story. Let's just hope it leaves us the same way. I'm sure it will.

At this moment, I have to say we're lucky.

More Movie News, Harry Potter!

This time I have some Half Blood Prince for you. Take a look at these pictures from the upcoming movie, and remember that the trailer for the film in November should be coming out sometime this month.

In this picture, the trio are in one of the rooms of the Weasley house. A comfortable and interesting place to be concerned about something other than Hermione wearing her pajamas in a bedroom with two boys.

Does Malfoy have a 'kick me' sign stuck to his back? If so, did Snape put it there and is having an internal laugh while he shows his miserable exterior?

The trio are in the common room and from what I can see, Hermione has been reading the Daily Prophet newspaper, Harry has been looking at his dark magic potions book, and Ron is absorbed in a particularly interesting episode of Sex and the City.

Okay. So what does a teenage boy keep locked in a drawer but always takes the time to look at when he's feeling rejected and lonely? That's right! Pictures of bunnies!

So I hope you've been intrigued and are excited for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince as much as Twilight. I'm confident that this movie at least won't fail us. Try listening to Mugglecast if you're sick of waiting because, well, it's awesome!

Matt first, and Andrew second, in a café celebrating the third annual Mugglecast T-shirt Day!

All the hosts on Mugglecast T-shirt days of the pasts. Andrew is the main host, Jamie is the British dude, Laura is the girl power, Micah is the one whose nose is always stuffed up, and Matt and Eric are the regulars of the show who love Sweeney Todd, Hairspray, and being weird and entertaining as they all are. Oh, and they really Harry Potter! Give Mugglecast a listen!

Troublesome day for J.K.

Poor J.K. Rowling. She sure has been through a lot. Here is a news post from Mugglenet. (Yes, those are the guys who do Mugglecast.)

WSJ provides report from first part of today's trial
WSJ provides report from first part of today's trial The Wall Street Journal's Law Blog has been updated with a lengthy report of everything that occurred this morning in court prior to lunch. Of particular interest to us was Jo's testimony, which is very heartfelt:

“I don’t want to cry, because I’m British,” said Rowling, breaking down a bit, “but the [Harry Potter books] meant setting aside my children.” If that was a show of weakness on Rowling’s part, to the Law Blog’s sensibilities, it was effective in making her seem sympathetic. It was also a counterpoint to testimony that was otherwise declarative and authoritative.

“This trial has decimated my creative work over the last month,” said Rowling. “You lose the [plot] threads and worry whether you’ll be able to pick them up again.”

“Should my fans be flooded with a surfeit of substandard books — so called lexicons — I’m not sure I’d have the will or heart to continue,” said Rowling, who went on to characterize the H.P. Lexicon as “sloppy,” “lazy,” and “incorrect.”

Go Jo! We're behind you all the way. It's also interesting to learn that British people don't like to cry.

I also found an interesting point made by a member of The Mortal Instruments Google Group, was in the discussion 'Sebastian'. She said: So it will kind of be like sebastian wants clary who wants jace who wants clary but thinks she doesn't want him to be more then a brother?
If so, that will be intense.

Intense indeed. There is also the possibility that he is Clary's older brother roaming around. If so;

Clary: "I like you."
Jace: "I'm your brother."
Clary: "Dammit." Goes to Idris. Meets Sebastian. "I like you."
Sebastian: "I'm your brother."
Clary: "Dammit. I have a soft spot for siblings. I'll have kids with six toes."

Yeah, hopefully something will work out for her. For her kids sakes.
